StarCraft 2: Legacy of the Void's crazy new two-player mode revealed early


BlizzCon is only just getting started, but we've already got the first details about the next StarCraft 2 expansion, which will seemingly be featured at the event.

An Instagram photo from writer James Blocksom shows off a poster revealing StarCraft 2: Legacy of the Void's "Archon Mode." This new multiplayer option lets two players control a single base.

According to Twitter user inFeZa, Archon Mode is playable at BlizzCon. inFeZa has also been revealing tons of specific details about new units and changes to existing units in the version of Legacy of the Void playable at the show.

BlizzCon's opening ceremony kicks off in just 15 minutes. Polygon will be watching live and providing more coverage from the event all weekend, including interviews and hands-on reports.
