Halo Multiplayer Fix Out Today

Halo Multiplayer Fix Out Today

Halo: The Master Chief Collection is getting a new content update today that will address matchmaking performance, as well as user interface, gameplay and title-specific issues, developer 343 Industries announced.

One of the primary fixes includes an update addressing the extended matchmaking times and low matchmaking success rates. Likewise, the developer says "you'll see beter, more frequent and more informative status updates throughout the matchmaking flow — so "Players Found" for example will be displayed to let players know where they are in the matchmaking process instead of simply wondering if it's going to connect."

As was previously reported, owners of Halo: The Master Chief Collection have complained of issues connecting to the game's online matchmaking servers, according to posts made on Reddit and Halo Waypoint. Users are currently having to wait hours to connect, with some finding only a few available matches within a six hour period.

Microsoft and 343 have been struggling to fix player-reported problems with Halo: The Master Chief Collection since the four-game pack was released.

The team aims to release the update around mid-to-late afternoon Pacific Time. You can see all the new fixes on the official Halo Waypoint website.
