Find and store everything in OneDrive – App of the Week
Recent developments in OneDrive include unlimited storage at no additional cost – for all Office 365 users. If you’re not an Office 365 subscriber, that’s OK, too. OneDrive comes with 15GB of storage for free. OneDrive can also handle big files, up to 10GB, which has come in handy for work, too, when I use OneDrive for Business to share videos.
I also use it on my iPhone as an automatic camera backup for my photos whenever I turn on my Wi-Fi. Once I know the photos are in OneDrive, I delete them on my camera roll and Photo Stream, freeing up space on my phone for more snaps. (I’m a chronic shutterbug.) I also like how I can easily share albums, as I’m apt to do after visits with family and friends. And for them, it doesn’t matter what platform they’re on, they can get to those pics using the shared link.
And, if you have a Windows Phone device, you can use the Office Lens app to convert photos of whiteboard notes and documents into Word documents and PowerPoint presentations that are automatically saved to OneDrive.
