Destiny's new hoverbike lets Guardians do crazy freestyle tricks

There's a new Sparrow coming to Destiny that will let Guardians pull off some kooky tricks: flips, twists, can cans, supermans and more. No longer are players limited to simply sitting down as they hoverbike their way through Destiny. Now they can freestyle, as you can see in the dubstep-fueled trailer above.

The new Sparrow, called the EV-30 Tumbler, features "advanced modifications that bypass standard safety systems, disabling the stabilization and gyroscopic-force dampeners designed to keep you grounded," Bungie says, while pointing out its sweet, flame-licked paint job.

Destiny's new ride is coming to the game as part of its first expansion, The Dark Below, which hits Dec. 9. But Destiny players who have purchased the game's Expansion Pass can take control of the EV-30 Tumbler starting today. The Destiny Expansion Pass costs $34.99 and grants access to the game's first two add-ons. The pass was included in Destiny's Ghost and Limited Editions.

Activision says that players who buy either the stand-alone expansion or the pass by Jan. 15, 2015 will get access to the EV-30 Tumbler as part of their purchase.
