Amazon Started Black Friday Early, Enjoy Deals No

Amazon Started Black Friday Early, Enjoy Deals Now

You can look at "holiday creep" in one of two ways: Either you can chafe at it and fight it (don't bother, it's inevitable), or you can embrace it and take advantage of the good parts. To wit, Amazon has decided that "Black Friday" is no longer limited to one brief time period on the night after everyone has gorged themselves on Thanksgiving dinner; instead, the mega-etailer has expanded Black Friday to cover the entire month of November.

You can shake your head at the sad state of American consumerism that would lead to such a reality, or you can lick your lips and take advantage of month-long deals on components and computers.

For our part here at Tom's Hardware, we're embracing Black Friday--er, Black November? Anyway, we combed through Amazon's deals and dug up a few that we think you folks would be interested in.

But you better get on this fast.

Kingston HyperX FURY 8GB Kit

If you're not quite on the DDR4 train yet, grab some Kingston HyperX Fury RAM. This is an 8 GB (2 x 4 GB) 1600 MHz DDR3 kit with an asymmetric heat spreader, and it comes with Kingston's guaranteed lifetime warranty. At $71.99, you save over $60 off of the list price of $134.

ViewSonic VX2880ml 28-Inch 4K Ultra HD LED Monitor

If you've been waiting for a good deal on a 4K monitor, snap up this ViewSonic display. The 28-inch unit offers UHD resolution (3840 x 2160) and sports a 1000:1 contrast ratio, 10-bit color and a 50:1 dynamic contrast ratio. Ports include HDMI, DisplayPort and mini DisplayPort, and the monitor has integrated 2 W stereo speakers, too. You'll pay $546.99, which is a savings of $284.01.

Seagate Desktop 3 TB HDD

Would you like to save over a hundred bucks on some storage? Sure you would. You can grab a 3.5-inch 3 TB Seagate HDD (ST3000DM001) for just $101.61. That's a markdown of $113.38, so you're paying less than half of the original cost. The drive offers 7200 RPM speed and a SATA 6 Gbps interface, and it features Seagate's OpticCache, AcuTrac and SmartAlign technology.

Samsung 840 Pro Series 512GB SSD

You can pair that spacious Seagate HDD with a speedy Samsung 840 Pro SSD, which Amazon has listed for a ridiculous $309.99. That's a savings of $410 off of the Amazon list price, and it gets you a 512 GB model (MZ-7PD512), which features a Samsung MDX controller and offers a SATA 6 Gbps interface and up to 100K IOPS and up to 540 MBps/520 MBps read/write speeds.

Razer Blade 14" QHD+ Laptop

Considering the other deals we have here, shaving $150 off of a $2,249.99 Razer Blade gaming notebook isn't a huge price cut percentage-wise, but hey, it's still a hundred and fifty bucks. The 14-inch Razer Blade offers a killer 3200 x 1800 resolution and a ten-point multi touch screen, and it runs on an Intel Core i7-4702HQ (2.2 GHz/3.2 GHz) and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 870M (3 GB GDDR5). The notebook runs Windows 8.1 and offers 8 GB of DDR3L-1600 MHz RAM and a 256 GB SSD with an M.2 interface.

ASUS Flip 15.6-Inch 2-in-1 Convertible Touchscreen Laptop

If you're looking for a more portability- and productivity-oriented laptop instead of a gamer, check out the $120 off deal on this Asus Flip 2-in-1. The 15.6-inch (Full HD) device runs on an Intel Core i5-4210U (1.7 GHz) chip and offers a 1 TB HDD and 8 GB of DDR3L RAM. Ports include USB 3.0, two USB 2.0, HDMI, and SDXC, and for wireless connectivity it has Wireless-N and Bluetooth 4.0. The original price is $799.99, so the drop to $679.99 is a relatively large one.

Intel Core i7-4790

Intel chips are often quite pricey, but you can get a quad-core Core i7-4790 (3.6 GHz) for just $307.27; that's a savings of $77.02.
